Registration/Login Questions:

How do I get set up for View My Loan access?
Approximately two weeks after loan funding, a borrower or co-borrower can register to use View My Loan. By registering and creating a username and password, borrowers will have immediate access to use this system. Click here for Registration Help.

Why do I need to register?
We ask you to register so we can validate your registration information with the account data we have on record and to confirm your borrower identity. Registration is also required in order for you to establish your User Name and Password.

Does each borrower on the account need to register separately?
It is recommended that each borrower on the account register separately to establish your own user name and password. When registering as a New User, each borrower should be able to validate his/her own personal information required.

Why do you need my email address?
The Office of Loan Programs is committed to preserving the privacy of its borrowers who utilize the VML website. We need your email address to email your user information once you have registered for VML access and to notify you of any changes made to your user information through the Edit My Profile option.

How do I establish a user name or password?
If you don't have a User Name or Password, you must first register as a New User here. As soon as you register, you will receive separate emails that confirm your user name and temporary password. The first time you log on, the system will prompt you to change your temporary password to a password of your choice.

Troubleshooting Questions:

Why doesn't View My Loan allow me to register as a new user?
VML is only available to borrower's approximately two weeks after the loan has funded. If it has been more than two weeks since your loan funded and you are still not able to register, please check the new user information entered for accuracy.

Other Considerations:
1. The borrower or co-borrower last name provided (including any hyphens) must match what is on record with the Office of Loan Programs.
2. In some unique cases, self-registration may not be possible and will therefore require you to contact a Loan Servicing representative for a "manual account set up" at 510-987-9013.

What do I do if I forget my user name or password?
If you forget your user name or password, click on the Forgot User Name or Forgot Password links to verify your account information so you can receive user name or password information to your email account. Note: To ensure privacy, you will not be provided with your user name and password information in the same email message.

Who do I contact if I can't log in with my user name and password?
If you have double checked your user name and password to ensure its accuracy, contact a Loan Servicing Representative at 510-987-9013 for additional help.

VML Account Summary Questions:

How often is my loan account data updated on View My Loan?
Account data reported on View My Loan is updated on a nightly basis.

If I make an extra principal payment, will it be reflected in the outstanding principal balance shown?
Extra principal payments (also known as curtailments) made prior to the "last updated" date on the VML screen are reflected in the Outstanding Principal Balance amount on the Account Summary page. Also see "How often is my loan account data updated on View My Loan" for more information. If you would like to confirm that a curtailment was received, please contact a loan servicing representative at (510) 987-9013

How long is my account information available on VML after my loan has paid off?
In March of each year, account information for any loans paid off in the prior year will no longer be available. If you need access to your account information and it is not available, please contact a loan servicing representative directly at (510) 987-9013.

Can I email my account information to a 3rd party?
Yes. You have the option of emailing your account information to a 3rd party and/or printing a copy. To email your account information to a 3rd party, click on the "Email this page" link in the upper right-hand corner of your loan summary. If you'd like to print a copy, click on the "Print this page" link in the upper right-hand corner of your loan summary.

Security and Privacy Questions:

How is my account information kept secure?
Data is stored in a secured computing environment. No personally identifying information is stored on the server, and passwords are obscured in the database so that they're only readable by the application.

Can I change my personal password at any time?
Yes. After your personal password has been established, you may change it at any time by going to the Edit My Profile screen.

Can I change my user name at any time?
No. For privacy reasons, you cannot change your user name without the assistance of an OLP Loan Servicing Representative. You may contact a Servicing Representative at 510-987-9013.

Can I change my email address at any time?
Yes. If you need to make a change to your email address, you may change it at any time by going to the Edit My Profile screen.
